I agree with Austin, I definitely think it's about a girl. Especially because of the line "You always knew you were my worst addiction", meaning (according to my interpretation) both of them know that he's still desperately in love with her even though she probably treated him horribly, and Buddy knows that he shouldn't love her and just get over her, but he can't. He's "addicted" to her, more than alcohol. He knows he's being a fool for still loving her but he can't help himself. And I think his "routine" is getting himself drunk whenever thoughts of her or events with her happen, and he gets depressed that he can't be with her. So the overall theme of the song is trying to break his habit of drinking and his love for the girl, and he's questioning himself when he'll finally let himself do it. That's my interpretation. And SoulReaver93, I love Legacy of Kain so much, it's my favorite game series. There are rumors that there might be another game, so let's hope :D |

| I agree with most of that, except the hole is a metaphor for love. He says "If I fall or trip back into love..", which sets up the whole metaphor of the hole and being able to climb out (end the relationship) if there's any bit of doubt. | |

| umm, there's no lyrics up here but i'm gonna guess its shark attack, cuz i often see people call this song save yourself...i think it might be about Buddy converting to atheism and how he tried to see a therapist for help but he didn't get any answers. also, when he says "i've fallen for the oldest trick in the book", i think thats religion. and the chorus "just save yourself, cuz its too late for me" i think is how he is trying to tell others that religion is fake and basically "warn" them, telling them not to screw up like he did. | |
