for the record heroin probably inspired his father to write the amazing trippy music that was his gift. i think it could have a load of potential meanings. ive always thought of this song as him pining after someone who'd left him, and replacing her/it with something that only just satisfies him. doesn't make him "whole". thus a mojo pin. i always thought it was something sexual. the guitar thing though is immense. and believable. |

okay you're all reading this way too far. the first few lines. "my pet genius" = my penis "ring my neck" etc, its about being given oral frankly. mike patton is such an amazing vocalist/lyricist. i think hes making a satire of having sex in the hopes of children, before a certain age and how people stress that they've got to have had children before midlife. whereas in his midlife crisis he can't stop doing it for fun - he's like a "donor" and "salty kleenex" speaks for itself. "morbid self attention", masturbation etc. think you needed a cockney twist there yanks. its that simple :] hope that helps. |
