It's about being ahead of one's time, not really fitting in. Like a genius, who'd feel at home in the future, but doesn't in the present. In his mind, he like.. goes to that future, bringing back great ideas. Someone who travels inside himself, exploring the mind. The person makes the world a better place, taking everyone to the future. ^^ |

Buckingham is also a city in Quebec -> which is exaclty the name of another Ween album.. maybe there's some connection. I think the song is about money. The US dollar is green. 'She kept her child clean on Buckingham Green' is the mother who doesn't give her child/children enough love and only gives them money. The child can't see the real important things in live, thus no eyes. Also, on the dollar, there's this pyramid AND.. an eye! So no eye can also stand for no money. They praise money 'cause they are poor. The eye on the dollar note seems like it's descending from heaven. Maybe at the end they become rich. Or they learn to value other things than money. Also, obviously, the buckingham palace.. representing the state, who controls the money. It all makes sense! ^^ |
