I would say the song is about somebody who is or has been in a relationship, knowing that they need to get out of it because it is driving him down the wrong road but couldn't bring themselves to finalize it because they still loved them. He knows that what ever choice he makes it isn't going to be pretty which also could be another reason why he holds back on ending the relationship. "Finishing points end with murderous hearts," "Bring me the night, Bring me the tide, Bring me another day. But further, from your arms." He wants another day or night without, whoever the song is about, with him. "And this hall is frozen, And my limbs so numb. Feel the Frostbite." Could signify the numb and coldness he feels yet the sting it still brings upon him. "At these hours, i find my life turns itself in circles. Reignited the worst of fears and leading others to the cold" Here he could fore see the relationship bringing him down and knowing that when he falls, others will fall with him. "Powerless. When he finally built up the courage to end it, he feels closed off and cold and just wants to be alone, which social isolation can lead to poor choices, hence the next part. He's saying he wished he had of ended it earlier and is 'cursing every memory' because they may be all bad. And in conclusion he is trying to find the best out of his experiences, and not choosing the ones that would just drive him down further. i think........ |

it could be about the teenage generation. i beleive he is saying they are ruining the earth, the arrogant and self indulged lives they live, parents wont be able to control them oneday, and they will rebel against everything and ruin the earth and the majority of things that belong on it. he may think that parents need to notice what they teach their children as the children are the future, what a child see's is what it learns. what ever that may be, is what the future will bring. |

he put himself into a position that he knew was going to lead to bad concequences yet he still doesn't know why he mde those choices. thats what he means by "i rape myself and i don't know why." he is helpless and alone and feels there is no one around him. he gave his heart away and hes significant someone mistreated it and left im stranded. |
