The start of this song, the piano or guitar or whatever is it, reminds me of the Panadol Rapid ads, which is headache medication and that's what I think about every time I hear this song Not that is has anything to do with the meaning, I just thought it was a coincidence. |

A bit of topic, but... Is it seriously rare to find The Heartless Control Everything? Because I brought it last week, for 18$ and I live in Australia. I was actually looking for Bone Palace Ballet, I kind of new they wouldn't have that so I almost had a heart attacke when the little The Chiodos Bros spine poped up. It's seriously a brilliant album. |

Don't want to sound like a know-it-all fan, but Pete write the lyrics, Patrick makes them sound better. And he could be asking himself if he was miserable before he became famous... 'Which came first the music or the misery?' is the first line from High Fidelity, a moved based on a break up, and he makes a living wrting songs about break ups. This was written around the same time as his 'suicide attempt' and the recording of 'From under the cork tree' (Don't quote me on that, I'm to 100% sure, but it is on the re-relase of 'From under the cork tree') Suicide attempt = being miserable. Under the cork tree = music. Which came first? Anyway, 'High Fidelity' is a brilliant movie and everyone should see it at least twice. |
