It is "Love of the Loveless"; yes. I think the meaning is pretty easy to figure out, though. I always kind of felt I identified with it. [In fact, I'm feeling that way now.] But I think it's someone who feels that they are, inside, loveless, because of the lack of affection directed towards themselves, they project affection unto others to give them a sense of love - the lazy optimism and support that leaks out of them is some way of trying to make up for the sheer lack of it/understanding they feel is coming back their way. "Don’t have too many friends Never felt at home Always been my own man Pretty much alone" I don't have that many friends; I'm a little strange, so I've always been sort of a loner. "I know how to get through And when push comes to shove I got something that you need I got the love Love of the loveless" But I know how to pull through the tough times and keep it level, I know I'm needed, because I am your support, from that I learn to support myself. Sort of. I'm sorry. It's 5AM, I'm doing an awful job at conveying this. |
