This song is so moving. It has such an erie parallel to his life and own fame. The first time I heard it; i didn't know he was dead, I thought it was about Vincent Van Gogh. This song pulls my heartstrings when I think of any deceased artist who where only appretiated after death. |

It seems to me that he caught a glimps of himself in a moment of clarity......Was he the rich fuck at the charity? I wonder if he had lost sight of who he was and then was reminded of the impending doom......i dunoo I really enjoy everyones comments though. Either way Its hard to hypothesize about the grief he must have f felt....it's all so well disquised and personal.... |

IF you listen to his interview with KRCW in Portland he says that the song is about a Casino. I don't know where- but I know that it is what was said. If you think about it it makes sense " picking up the ticket shows there's money to be made, go on and take the gamble its the history of the trade- did you add up all the cards left to play...to zero- sighn up with evil angeles".
