Not as talented as Glenn, though.

Demons & Wizards – Crimson King Lyrics

Waitaminnit... I was in Barnes & Noble the other day. I looked at a Stephen King's Dark tower analysis. It said that Flagg was killed by Roland of Gilead. I accepted this, being frankly unable to remember how Flagg died. But you, Alex Ray, are absolutely correct, Mordred did it. Someone should tell the author of whatever book I was looking at. |

Rainbow – Stargazer Lyrics

It seems that "i believe" is not referring to believing in the wizard's dream but instead believing in a chance at freedom. The other lyrics in this part of the song seem to support this: "When do we leave?" This means that the protagonist and his fellow slaves are not followers of the wizard but instead servants. Furthermore, it seems plausible that they sabotaged the wizard's tower of stone. "No sound, as he falls instead of rising" suggests that none of the slaves were shocked, because they orchestrated the wizard's demise. After the evil wizard's death, a rainbow, commonly symbolizing hope, appears on the horizon (how badass!). After this, the protagonist seems to be institutionalized. He knows that he can leave, but does not know where home is. He only knows that he must be away from the tower of stone, which served as his dubious home for a decade. At the end, the freed protagonist seems helpless and lost, wanting to find a place he calls home. |

The Sword – Freya Lyrics
|
It is about Freya (Freyja), Odin's Granddaughter. She is the Goddess of love and fertility as well as oracles (sibyls). She can turn into a falcon and rides a chariot drawn by two cats. Half of the warriors slain in battle go to Odin's hall Valhalla, and half to Freyja's hall Folkvangar. "The battle rages but they fight in vain" refers to Ragnarok, the battle at teh end of the world. "When all is done it must begin again." The surviving two gods and two humans must recreate the nine worlds. |

The Rus are a group of Norsemen who settled in what is now Russia. They were greatly feared and respected, so the people of Kiev hired them to guard the city from other invaders. |
