Who do people call "cowboys" globally? What do cowboys symbolize? Yeah, I think this song is kinda anti-American too. |

This song for me is about existente being fucked-up in its various forms. It's just that feeling of "this is too fucked up, gotta get away before it's too late." |

I thought it being called Peaches was a tongue in cheek reference to the electronic band because of the song's feel, but that would work. |

Omg Anarchitect you fucking read my mind! That's what I've been saying to my friends all along, the arpeggiation is almost identical. With the difference that this song I like a lot more.
I love how the guitar work is far from flawless on its execution, it makes the song that much warmer. |

I agree with you wholeheartedly, that's the same impression I got as well. The hints we were given in songs like Elysium seem to have gotten a lot more concrete. |

The ending kinda reminds me of Seven Months with the haunting sample still going on and all. |

Trying to avoid going too deep into Beth's personal life, I think this song has to do with the struggle of a different sexual choice. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. |

Guilt and self doubt seem to be the leit motif of this album. This is one epic closer. |

I'm deeply convinced this song is about rebelling against the idea of a God, specially the all-seing judgemental occidental one. Faith has become a shackle of guilt preventing her from actually living her life. The song is her realizing. |

I always get this mental image when listening to this song.
-11 am on a Monday, putting out the tenth cigarette, the ashtray full and spilling out. There's a storm outside, adding up to the hum of the Tv thats on but nobody's watching it. Head in hands, coffee is cold.
What is this life about? What am I supposed to do with it? I really don't want to live a life as I've been told, Am I supposed to?"
Well thats what I picture anyways, kinda trippy, but so is Portishead. |
