Band Marino – Every Time I Make A Girl Cry I Know I've Done My Job Lyrics 17 years ago
If he was "good and sweet" to her then why would he say something so callous as "i don't care for you at all?" And if he really didn't care for her, yet still pretended to, then that would make him even more malicious than otherwise.

Band Marino – Elephants Are Gray (Elephants Are Blue) Lyrics 18 years ago
Wow, This song is a bit abstract. "Life can be hard like an elephant's tusk"...that's pretty simple to understand.

An elephant's tusks continue to grow while the animal puts a lot of wear and tear on them. So I figure the speaker wants to be tough and able to take whatever life throws at him.

The second stanza describes the elephant, and by using the colors, but the "blue" being an idiom, it's saying that the way something appears may definitely be different on the inside, or that there's always another way to look at a situation. So always try to be patient with someone's situation and not to jump the gun. Be compassionate and understanding? I don't know. Sorry I'm dumb.

Band Marino – I Have A Dream Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is speaking about the modern day morals of westerners, and the irony of how the dreams of our forefathers have turned into something disgusting and pathetic. And maybe a bastardization of carpe diem.

Band Marino – Every Time I Make A Girl Cry I Know I've Done My Job Lyrics 18 years ago
I figure this song is pretty simple. It's about a guy that's incredibly self-centered and achieves self-worth from his capacity to hurt, namely women, those around him. He also feels that he's got far too much potential to stick around in one place.

Band of Horses – Part One (Savannah) Lyrics 18 years ago
I get the feeling that the speaker was on the road far from home and was having a horrible time, for whatever reason. He meets a girl at his lowest point and she brings him out of that low point. He realizes he loves her and wants to go somewhere that they can be together without any interruption, so they go off to Savannah (which is in South Carolina and Georgia, but SC is where the band is from) to be alone and start over.
