there's a slight theme of trying to capture and smuggle or hide the summer, ties to the South and the Sun...it makes me think that this was written about letting go of home or leaving behind a summer... the section starting with "the claim that wire covered your heart" says it all: "They claimed" your metaphorical drowning and a cold, unmoving heart. if i had to go with one thing, tho, i'd say it was about being told what to do by a tyrannical/autonomic government |
