great song, great album, great band....so happy there 3rd album is the most progressive of all of them....my favourite band!! It is definitely some sort of love song, maybe not about Julian himself, but about I man falling in love with a prostitute ''You're all trashed up with your big red belt. I would almost say that you might need help. I could drop you off at the next red light If it don't make sense or it don't feel right'' the reference to RED BELT and the song name I feel gives this away...unless it is about a girl who he is so in love with who won't love him back and he needs to know when too much is too much, he's gotta stop. Anyways as I've always felt, a great song needs some mystery, and Julian's lyrics always leave me thinking a little mysteriously! :) |
