Love this song. To me, it's about a relationship, and how it ended badly. The guy is saying he'll always remember the girl in a good way, with the good memories. He won't think of how it is right now. So he wants her to just leave the memories alone, because maybe he feels if they start again, those memories will be ruined. That's why he says she'll never change. |

Yeah, I think the guy messed up the relationship, and he tries to go back but she cant take him back. He has had his chances but didnt use them. So she goes straight for the deep end, trying to get over him, forget him, and she doesnt hesitate to die fighting(doesnt care if it takes soo much of her to forget him, she will, even if its a hurtful process). So she is broken up and alone, and troubled (im guessing) and is misery's company. He only sees her in his dreams. Good song. I like it :) |

I could hear this song EVERY day This song is how the he has had soo many heartaches and it really is hurting him A LOT because the person he loved caused him soo much pain. Then you know how when you get your heartbroken, you just block out everything else in your life and all you do is just cry and wonder off and just get really depressed and not talk to anyone at all? Well that is how he was in the song, and what he is saying that when he is like that after all he has been through, that his best friend/friend should help him feel better "dig me up from what is convering, the better part of me" He is telling his friend to "sing this song, remind me that we'll always have each other, when everything else is gone" he is also saying that his friend digs all the way through all his depressiveness and finds the old and happy him "dig me up from under what is covering, the better part of me" & "we all have someone that digs at us, at least we dig each other, up up." and he is explaining his heartbreak and how he will help his friend in exchange when that happens to her. "So when weakness turns my ego up I know you'll count on the me from yesterday." I first hears this song the day after my boyfriend cheated on me, reminded me of how my best friend was there with me :) great song |
