| Megadeth – Die Dead Enough Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I feel like actually saying what I think this song means. I think it's pretty much a summary of most peoples nightmares. You wake up in the middle of the night, sweating, and you think about what you just dreamt. He can't punch hard enough in the dream, meaning he can't quite overtake whatever his challenge is (in the dream.) When it says he can't stay down enough, I think it means he's getting his ass beat but he just won't die, so he keeps getting beat down in his dream because he just won't die dead enough. The part with "And now I am more driven than before And now I live just to settle score" doesn't make much sense to me, but I think it means he just took over and is in control of the dream now, as weird as that sounds. Really awesome song, but you guys are too busy bitching about Metallica. |
