I only discivered Rilo Kiley after Jenny Lewis had a solo record. So i have no idea about some the stuff discussed in the threads thus far. however to me it seems this Cd is one wholistic piece of work (similar to tori amos's scarlets walk and XTC's skylarking). I think this song is just part of the overarching story of loss (maybe a parent?) , getting involved in pornography / prostitution, etc. and then returning to release that you can't go back (maybe a prioir romance?). Then 15 comes on at the end and really is depressing. If I am wrong (which I am on several occasions) then so be it. Either way this whole record is pretty amazing. ia lmost didn't get it because the only song I heard was dreamworld and it is the worst on the record. |
