In my oppinion, I think that this song is about drug use. The lines, "Puts on a smile and breaths it in and breaths it out" "Don’t be afraid just eat up all the gray and it will fade away" Just seem like he's talking about taking some type of drug. I'm sure the song was written to where different people could explain, "The great escape" in their own way, but thats just what I think the song was based on originally. It took me a couple times of listening to it to come to that solution though. Has anybody else seen the video? It's awesome. |

This song is one of my favorite songs... it's one of those songs that are spot on about how I'm feeling right now. "we found ourselves in clueless company, and spoke of things we could not repeat" This part means(to me) that the two lovers were feeling lost and alone in the world until they found eachother, and when they became close, they told eachother everything. "we've trapped our tongues and stumbled on our midnight steps" I think here its speaking of the secrets they created with eachother. "and oh how I know you best, your the troublesome mess, but I would cut every corner to find you" This ones a bit self explainatory, but it's saying how one of the couple supposedly has some problems, but the other loves him/her anyways. I'm too tired and lazy to think of anything else, and the songs pretty self explainatory in itself. So yeah. ~.~ |
