I always thought it was a play on words. civil being plesent to somebody and the irony of war being the opposite and tearing people apart. then again it pretty much sums it up at the end lol |

the desire to escape. when he's in school or something and just wishing he has the romantic idealist job. personally feel it's the best song they wrote, although they still have the annoying repetition of "a licence to kill/ thrill" and "i wanted to be you" it's catchy. and a shame it was played so much on british radio =/ oh well. theres still other songs ou there and i bet a hell of a lot of them are better than this :) sorry if i offended somebody |

i think it makes fun of the people who pay for lapdances. the way the women have no choice because she is underage so can't get work and has been reduced to protitusion, but instead of taking pity on the girl he finds it a turn on that she is so young. or is that just me =P |
