| Rise Against – Prayer Of The Refugee Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
its not about a sweaty factory though metaphor, like always although they are a big concern..not taking away from that however, its about being a refugee due to the oppression an individual is facing "The suffer and the witness" is all about that you can be a refugee of war or your own town but i do think this song has some political undertone to it "Warm yourself by the fire, son, And the morning will come soon. I’ll tell you stories of a better time, In a place that we once knew." is proof of that this song is certainly something to think about despite its radio play |

| Rise Against – Anywhere But Here Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Now I'm on my way to the other side, (On my way) I'll forget everything I left behind. (On my way) These empty rooms, (On my way) are still filled with you. (On my way) I'm so tired and turned around and scared. I'm lying in empty beds again. Away from you. I don't think its a negative song i think it means that he is away, or making new choices in his life but the empty "rooms", are stil filled with someone no matter what barbed-wire fences won't keep me from breaking through, I swear I will, to you. this prooves it, while he does go away he always comes back and barbed wire fences wont keep him away. |

| Rise Against – The Approaching Curve Lyrics | 18 years ago |

wierd, i was just going to say that (revzxr5) the symbolism is perfect they can either continue on down the road and self destruct or take the approaching curve -she mad no indications of slowing. |

quote : think it deals with workers in sweatshops or places where workers work for minimum or below minimum wage doing jobs not very...what's the word...great? i guess? no, sorry , totally wrong it deals with us who dont know that we are in fact doing things but not knowing the reason behind them it could be a multi-millionaire, or a sweatshop worker lots ofppl have already touched on these issues above ^ |

| Rise Against – Ready To Fall Lyrics | 18 years ago |

its about comming back after you've been gone for a while whether u were gone on drugs or gone on tour maybe he sees a small similarity between the two feeling distance from his family thinking hey, its not like iv been on drugs for months, then wrote this song maybe thinking about someone who had maybe been an addict tim doesnt strike me as someone who's had a drug problem but it sure is a great song |

| Rise Against – Swing Life Away Lyrics | 18 years ago |

in response to it being "money motivated" -we get by just fine here on minimum wage :) and this song is punk in my opinion its talking about being happy with what you have and not wanting more all the time |

"Warm yourself by the fire, son, And the morning will come soon. I’ll tell you stories of a better time, In a place that we once knew." Don’t hold me up now, I can stand my own ground, I don’t need your help now, You won't let me down, down, down! Its a stretch, but it could be about war (iraq?) "warming yourself by the fire" and waiting for the morning while someones country is being blown up remembering what life used to be like "dont hold me up now...i dont need your help now" that they dont need american help, it just makes it worse. i realize the video was about free trade but this song could apply to a lot of things maybe they couldnt make a video about the iraq war |

| Rise Against – Halfway There Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this song is about asking questions i dont think these questions even have to be about anything rather just realizing something is not how it should be then deciding that you're going to do something about it taking a stand then second guessing yourself and needing a reason to keep going thats halfway there id like to know how to get to the other half or even what "there" is such a great song. anyone know who or hes wasted time he spent "ashamed i called you friend" ? |
