| Okkervil River – A Girl In Port Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| to me, it's about a man at sea, for war or whatever reason. he has a girlfriend, or wife or whatever back home, but then he finds a girl who he feels is "better" than the girl at home. he struggles with holding back from the new girl. he wants to give in so badly, but he doesn't for the sake of not hurting the girl in port. just because it's the right thing to do. | |

"The Raleigh Twenty" was a folding bicycle made in the 1970's. The "roe deer" is just a species of deer. The wind in your hair. No Lucifer. |

| Thrice – Lost Continent Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Awesomality... I somewhat agree with your theory, but I think Dustin is using Atlantis as a metaphor for the Garden of Eden. Which is quite brilliant if you ask me. The definition of rhetoric is "using language to please or persuade". Dustin is saying that there are so many lies going on and it seems to make everyone happy. He is asking, "was there ever a time where people believed what was true and not what they wanted to believe?" "We'd rather close our eyes; Sing soothing lullabies" |
