For some reason, my story to this song is about being young and dealing with the first friendships. When you try to fit in and be with the "cool" people at school, but these people aren't neccesary the best people to be around. And they take advantage of you, put you in akward situations to prove your friendship, or prove that you're "one of them".

I think this song is about the difficult times she went through after her first album Playing My Game did so well. She was working too much, her album did much better than she ever hoped for and she experienced the downsides to being so popular: everybody wanting a piece of her, and her private life, taking pictures and all the utrue things written about her. So she's was wearing a disguise, so to say, pretending to be ok, wanting to be ok because of all the good things that had happened in her life, but inside she wasn't coping with it.

This song, to me, is so clearly about friends, how you enjoy their company and them being there for you, and you for them And those moments, when you've with them and everything is perfect. I think it's easy to mistake the lyrics for being about a boyfrined or love, when it's really about friendship. Beautiful song.
