This song reminds me of my 'Big' ..sex and the city fans will get what i mean! "i know you're sad even though you say that you're not" she's smart, she's the perfect girlfriend and according to every living human, she's the kindest girl you'll meet... but i know youre not happy with her. "i know you're scared even though you say that you're not" I know youre scared that if you leave her, i might not stick around. Just so you know, months ago i would have. but i'm smarter now. "stick your hands inside of my pockets keep them warm while i'm still here" These lines remind me of laying with my ex boyfriend, thinking to myself 'i have to end this soon. Hold onto me now because im wont be here much longer' "tell them this love hasn't changed me hasn't changed me at all" reminds me of constantly worrying that people would realise i actually REALLY liked this guy (i'd always been known to be a bit emotionally distant and was embarrassed by the thought that people would realise my heart was breaking.) "last night i was writing about you i know my screaming and shouting won't keep you" I'd constantly yell at my ex.. i guess i was subconciously pushing him away cause i was so scared of getting close to somebody. "the same as i love you you'll always love me too this love isn't good unless it's me and you" Despite the fact we are well and truly over, this is what i forever hope is true.... |
