In all honesty, i think its a very well put song, with a very well hidden meaning. What i get from it is simple. A break up (the end) then reuniting (Starting) so like when him and her fell in love it all began, it "started" then they eventually broke up, he felt like no one wanted to be a part of his life, and felt extremly dipressed ect. and was possibly angry about what had happened. Then "here we are agian" They meet again "love" they fall back in love and if you think of it that way.. the lines "every thing starts where it ends" makes sense him stating that they loved eachother broke up then reunited once agian to only fall in love agian. the part about him not pretending may be because he was pretending not to love her while they were apart, but when they reunite he cant pretend no more.. i unno possibly VERY wrong, but it makes sense to me cause it is what im going threw now. |

I think everyone is correct in some matter, i will try and sum it ALL up into one. Its simple, a guy who is incecure, contemplating scuicide, loses the one he loves due to insecurites, and he is so shut down that he cant even face the next day, but cant find the will to sleep, keeping him up threwout the night and not looking forward to the following day with out what he had thrown away. ill use my relationship for example. My GF was sick and tiered of feeeling like she was taking care of me, she left me because of my insecurites and it is my fualt for having those insecurties linger around in our relationship makeing it seem like i threw away the women i loved referring to the lines "And ever since that day, deep in Santa Fe. I've learned to hate myself for giving everything away." Because of his hurt, and insomnia (which is resulting from his insecurities) He spends the night awake, and cant face the day. "burning him stright to the bones" and yea.. prolly makes no sence to any of you but yea umm does for me =D |

THE SONG MEANINGSSS PEOPLE .. this song makes me cry EVEY time :/ ... its very simple. a boy and a girl, who broke up...they were in love, BUT they never had there closure while this boy watchs HIS girl go off with other boys. when they are still kinda at heart together because they havnt had ther clousre yet. making the man misrable at best he couldnt be more until he finaly gets over her. (this is easily related to me and my GF amandas relationship.. we broke up and she went off with boys all the time, and we never had closure or anything.. and it just HURT so badly, and i was OSO horrid in the heart, but because we never had clousre she and i ended up getting back together.. | Ill make it as easy as possible.. but i and my girlfriend amanda, both love eachother with all our hearts.. but we both had are mistakes that pushed eachother away.. in this song he is sinmging about how he, or she made mistakes that changed who they were and what there relationship was. They still hav all those feelings but are furthur apart from one another. when he says when i asked you belive me.. he is asking her to leave him, asking for a break. This song istn about a love that isnt working out... its about a love they dont want any more regardless of how much they love eachother.
