Damien Rice – Everything You're Not Supposed To Be Lyrics 14 years ago
I've just finished reading One Day by David Nicholls, and this song sums up the relationship between the two main characters perfectly in my opinion.

It's a song that says despite how much you love someone, sometimes they're not the right person for you, and it's being strong and walking away from that and starting afresh, despite all the pain it will cause. Well that's my take on it anyway.

Amy Macdonald – My Only One Lyrics 14 years ago
In her live version, she says that she wrote this song about Michael Jackson, and it seems quite appropriate when describing his life. No matter what happened in his personal life people still loved his music, which was shown when he died.

We Are Scientists – Worth The Wait Lyrics 17 years ago
Shouldn't it be 'measuring time by the bottle'? Why would you 'measure in time by the bottle'? I've always seen this song as someone who knows that someone they like is pretty much screwing them over in that they're never there for them or anything and this person knows that they should really stand up and say something, but they still wait because there's that possibility that if anything does happen then it will be brilliant. Wooo I saw them live last night! =]

This song is really sad. The meaning is pretty obvious though. Reminds me of me.

VAST – Touched Lyrics 17 years ago
I wouldn't just say that this song is about a relationship where one is mentally ill. I think this song could be applied to anyone who doesn't want to let go of something. I know what he's thinking, it's so hard when what you had was so sweet.

Jason Wade – You Belong to Me Lyrics 18 years ago
I love this song, it has a really honest feel about it. It's pretty obviousl what it's about but I think it's about two lovers who have to be separated for one reason or another, and one is saying to the other please don't forget me. My brother did point out though that it could seem a little controlling, with the whole 'you belong to me' thing. But I think that he's trying to say remember us rather than trying to be possessive

Kelly Clarkson – Addicted Lyrics 18 years ago
This reminds me of the summer just gone. I met this guy and it was a wonderful summer but then we just kinda drifted apart when we both went back to school, well not that I wanted to. It was really hard to let go of him but I was slowly getting there. Then I talked to him again about a month ago and everything has just come rushing back, and that little bit of hope that keeps whispering 'what happens if I hold on this time?' It's so hard to let go again. I think the worst bit is when you haven't thought about them for ages, and you're okay, but then something just reminds you about them and all the feelings come back again.

Erm just to say that if you do google skeski or skeskis then it doesn't come up with anything even closely related to the song, just loads of women not wearing many clothes and cheerleaders in rollerskates!!

Fleetwood Mac – Rhiannon Lyrics 18 years ago
Poetic_tragedy, I've only ever known the lyrics that you posted. It seems really weird to suddenly discover extra verses! I'm a Rhiannon too, except I wasn't named after the song, I was named Rhiannon because the parents in the bed next to my mum's in the hospital called their daughter Rhiannon >.

James Blunt – 1973 Lyrics 18 years ago
This song has a relationship that this guy and I had written all over it, and it has helped me to let him go. I met him this summer, and we got on really well and we really wanted to have a proper relationship. Unfortuately he lives a fair distance away from me, and we tried to meet but it didn't work out. After that, things were never the same between us and it was really awkward between us as neither of us really knew what to say to each other, but I think that was something unspoken between us saying that it'll never work, but we were both unable to either just end it or keep in contact because we used to be so close. It's still like that at the moment. It makes me sad because had he lived nearer, I get the impression that it could have been something really special. I haven't talked to him for at least a week now, but I keep thinking back to how our relationship used to be. The words 'We seemed so strong, We've been there and gone' really come to mind.

Love the song and love James Blunt no matter what people say.
