I agree that it sounds like he sings "Down a hall in your house." I actually scrolled down to the comments to comment on that line. The two other corrections you have also sound correct to me.
This song is superb! I cannot wait to hear the whole album. |

| Voxtrot – The Dream Lives of Ordinary People Lyrics

To me, it is about finally accepting yourself as you are instead of trying to hide behind a facade of an "ordinary life," even if that may not be what others wish you to be. This interpretation that I have makes it one of my favorite Voxtrot songs in terms of theme. |

| Voxtrot – Four Long Days Lyrics

I remember when I first got into Voxtrot I read Ramesh's blog one day... I THINK it was around December of '05. He said they were currently on tour in the North East/New England states and their van had broke down and they were stuck in this one town... I THINK there was also something about a mechanic trying to scam them out of money, but I'm not too sure. (I'm in too much of a hurry right now to go back and read that blog entry to make sure all of this is 100% correct.)
BUT ANYWAY... That blog entry was a while before this song came out, but when I first heard this song on the second EP I automatically assumed it was written about that specific tour incident with the broken down van and being stuck in that town for awhile. |

I have two different interpertations of this song. One can only be explained to anyone who was with me on a certain day of my life, so it's not worth typing.
The other is that this is about anonymous gay park sex. (This song came out when I lived in San Antonio, and for awhile it seemed that all the news focused on was the "anonymous gay park sex problem" the city had... Thus, it seemed to me this song was about that, too.) |

| Spoon – Jonathon Fisk Lyrics

Hey fooltheworld... Funny you should say that. Long, long ago when I wasn't that familiar with Spoon, somehow I thought I had read that Britt Daniel was gay. So I thought this song to be a co-dependant's love song... Jonathon Fisk is so messed up and mean, but Britt still loves him and wants to "fix" him. Haha. Boy, I was COMPLETELY off there! |
