uhh why haven't more people commented this song!? or lovedrug altogether?! i absolutely LOVE them and this song to death! it's pretty obviously about two people who fall in love. my favorite line would have to be, like theives we are, all in love with stolen hearts. and we all fall down and fall apart for love. how true. |

i love this song so much. probably one of my favorites on this album.. its so sad. this song hints strongly at abortion. i think thats what its really about.. i'll just go ahead and do a full analyzation of what i think the lyrics are saying. the salt of the earth is used in the Bible as a name for Jesus.. i'm not sure exactly what this has to do with my point of view on this song, its probably contradicting it but oh well. 'each correction makes us stronger, absconder in happiness, yeah' the correction being the abortion, absconder (someone who runs away) in happiness afterwards because she thinks she solved all of her problems by aborting the baby. voyage up my river full of tears it's yerking (the girls sadness about an accidental pregnancy) Lookout now, doctor's unleashing: (doctor doing the abortion, the mother telling the child to look out.. yeah.) All this dangerous, this is dangerous I can't hide your danger eye i can't hide Your death selection (pretty obvious what its talking about.. the baby can't hide from the doctor or what is about to happen to him/her.) One day i would've fallen so in love One day i would've painted reds and greens of one who let me live long enough (the baby talking about what would have happened in it's life if his/her mother would've let him/her live long enough.) But there's suits in love with their own poises Hypocrites with no more voices Corporate cowards with no more choices (talking about the greedy doctors not really giving a shit, just killing peoples babies despite what they might think is morally right. just doing it for the money basically.) i love this song! it makes me smile =]] when i hear it it makes me think of a girl whos really shy and afraid to tell this guy who she is really good friends with that she really cares about him in a 'more than friends' way... and shes kind of thinking of what she wants to say to him, how badly she wants to come out and tell him her feelings... haha or maybe i just see it that way because im going through the same thing right now. |

this song reminds me of the peacefullness of dying. it just makes me think of someones soul making the finaly journey to heaven... it also reminds me of birth in a way.. so maybe it is about being reborn after we die.. i'm not sure, but its a beautiful song. =] |
