This is about the Monterey Pop Festival held in Monterey, CA in 1967. I love how they emulate the music of the artists mentioned in the song. "Prince Jones" is Brian Jones from the Rolling Stones. (The Rolling Stones themselves weren't there.) "The birds and the airplane did fly" Should be: "The Byrds and the Airplane did fly" (The Airplane is, of course, The Jefferson Airplane) |
