I totaly feel this. Just got back from a Youth Camp. Even tho it was an awesome experience, yet, sin still seems to prevail. But, it's only cuz "i" c myself fighting alone and fully come to senses inside to give way to the King. Forgiveness, is always around the corner. However, it takes a 'brave' warior to stand, like, David in Psalm 51. Where he constant saw his reflection but overwhelmed himself by believing in humbling to the True King. This is an Awesome Band!!!!! with Awesome Lyrics!!!!

Underoath - Awesome Band!!! Speaks to my life every time i hear them in my car, at home. Their lyrics are well poetically made and suitable to the music they perform - it's a true fighting words to wake up the 'Sleeper' and stand up to fight the good fight.

In my opinion, Underoath could have chosen this language due to consentration of region, or country. Think back in the ages of the Soviet Union ruling. Being govern by 'great communism'. Russia also is a country that is greatly in need of freedom from God's wrath. They were lead in the wrong path - in forceable ways. Now, Underoath, being a great Band, great influence to proclaim freedom, is spreading the Truth - Jesus son of God.

Man, for some reason, the first paragraph in this song, reminds me of Missionaries accross the globe. They left their comfort zones to follow on the Call fo Duty to fight God's war against the evil that lies in earth. Well, everyone with their own interpretation, right? "...In this place for the rebels and outlaws, stones quickly shift in our hands. We shed the blood of the human.." Instead of overcoming bad with good, we result in committing a death deal with the unsave rather than offering Hope - God's Son.

As Christians, we tend to fall in our past missed behaviors, or a self worthless image of us. Or, the fact that we are nothing but worms due to what we find to be in His presence....His Scars are always there to tell us that He has paid it all. There is no longer a need to continue on thinking the way we do. His perfect Sacrifice finished All debt. We must strive to accept His Joy in our lives to continue in this world he gave us. As for the unbeliever, there is HOPE still - is what this song states. that even though it's the same 'old song' it is not a reason to accept a death route, but accept the True Fact that His Scars reflect freedom for humanity.

KITW - this song is the greatest!
One night i was in my bedroom already in bed to sleep. Covered up from head to toe, lights off, immediately my sheets were pulled from the end sides of my feet. In seconds, i felt this presence (scary freezing) swift to my side bed and sat right at my side. I immediately guard myself, but so fast did i fell at sleep. The next morning, after waking up, I noticed that all of my bedroom furniture accessory items were scattered..not one of my colognes, shaving creams, etc., were standing.
I had asked my mom, if she had entered my room. She proceeded with saying that the night before she had felt an evil spirit coming out of my room area. She was praying and rebuking in Christ's name. For sure, Christ's blood is a shield and is Perfect Sacrifice for us all. KITW, keep on lyricing your gifted ways. Cuz, Melodies, continue on even when dark hours occurr.

In my opinion, Emery (along with many other Christian Bands: like Underoath, etc.) will always have positive lyric. Meaning that in a sense it will sound positive in a male/girl relationship. But also, will be meaningful speaking of a personal relationship with God. So, either way, it's a Great Plus! for bands like Emery. Cuz, they are fulfilling their Calling as Messengers. Cuz, at the end of all, a positive note will always Brighttened the listener. Interpretations are all good here, cuz it fulfills the question in this "Comment Add". Just, please, don't fight over wut the true meaning of these songs may be. Just, rejoice that the songs have a positive ending with a motive to change of life's (personal good)character in one's life. This is an AWESOME BAND! ...BECAUSE, AT THE END OF ALL, THE DIVINE POWER WILL REACH. One song in the album reads at the end of the track of "Listening to Freddy Mercury"... "...it is not our job to make them believe..." The Bible says that it's the power of the Holy Ghost that opens up the conscious in man (humans) to bring understanding of our wrong. Emery is truly a Messenger and great Writer!
