| This song resonated very clearly with me but may resonate differenlty with someone else...thats the beauty of Tori. This songs speaks to explaining the truth around organized religion in our world....very succinctly. Man has created all sorts of religous beliefs to "explain" the human spiritual element. However, what man has done is falsify history and made up stories and used them to control and deceive. This is the ultimate crime that Tori speaks of...manipulation/control of our human spirits to yield power and control to religious organizations. Ultimately, there are no dieties above or below us. You and I are the devils and gods. We as humans create goodness or evil depending on your spirit within. I also think there is a message of personal accountability underlying all this as well. | |
