| Paul McCartney – The World Tonight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I always thought this song had the influence of Princess Diana. Everything from, "Everybody wanted something from you." to a secret conversation. It is well known that some of Diana's telephone conversations were recorded. And of course running from the flock of paparazzi. | |
| John Mellencamp – Crumblin' Down Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Its about the madness of the music business. Being their whippin boy and their waiting outside to claim my tumblin walls. |

| Colin Hay – I Wish I Was Still Drinking Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Well, Colin does take a nice Jab at Bush, "wouldn't have to answer for the promises I broke Like the president today, or when he drank and snorted coke." Maybe the rest is about another leader in the world and war, there is too much talk of fixing the world, gunshots, a mothers pain and being old with missing teeth for it to be about Colin. |

| Paul McCartney – Don't Be Careless Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| "Saw your body rolled up in a rug, chopped up into two little pieces by some thug." Obviously the Elvis Costello influence on this song as there was in many of the songs from Flowers in the Dirt - just what Paul needed, a little edgyness. | |
| Paul McCartney – No Values Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It would be interesting to know who this song is about. Probably some business manager or someone that played in the band. Saying they were "Two of a Kind" and that he wrote a song about this person shows there was a closeness. | |
| Paul McCartney – Wanderlust Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The song is about his boat which was named Wanderlust. | |
| Paul McCartney – Venus and Mars Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Paul is mars and Linda is venus. | |
| Paul McCartney – That Day Is Done Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is a song of a man who is singing to his lover from the grave - or at least the graveyard on the day of his funeral. You don't hear Paul sing lines like the first 2 in this song very often. | |
| Paul McCartney – Richard Cory Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Here is the poem Paul SIMON made this song from: Edwin Arlington Robinson. 1869– Richard Cory WHENEVER Richard Cory went down town, We people on the pavement looked at him: He was a gentleman from sole to crown, Clean favored, and imperially slim. And he was always quietly arrayed, 5 And he was always human when he talked; But still he fluttered pulses when he said, "Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked. And he was rich—yes, richer than a king, And admirably schooled in every grace: 10 In fine, we thought that he was everything To make us wish that we were in his place. So on we worked, and waited for the light, And went without the meat, and cursed the bread; And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, 15 Went home and put a bullet through his head. |

| Paul McCartney – Not Such A Bad Boy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Sounds like Paul got busted at the Airport in China with a little wacky weed! Might as well write a song. The verse with "I followed the leader into her tent.......but she taught me things that I needed to know" is very interesting if you think about drugs, sex, a dealer, a informant???? | |
| Men Without Hats – The Safety Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Whatever the song actually means - the song changed from its original incarnation. Back in the day in bars in Canada you were not allowed to dance or walk around or even move around the bar. You had to stay at your seat - (It's True!) So when the bar band Men Without Hats started singing the original song - "It's Safe to Dance" people were getting up and dancing! Seeing this would cause a problem when the 45 record would come out and be put into Juke Boxes or worse, having the song banned in Canada - they changed the lyric to Safety Dance. | |
| Colin Hay – I Wish I Was Still Drinking Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about George Bush and how he can mask his war decisions and corruption behind some good ol' alcohol. | |
