Sky Eats Airplane – The Opposite Viewed In Real Time Lyrics | 16 years ago |
hm, that is a very interesting outlook Bluxshadows. I can see where you are coming from. I just love how their lyrics can create such a picture! Just like in Giants in the Ocean and this one. I can just see a war being rewound as its being described. How beautiful! |
Emery – As Your Voice Fades Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Does it really matter if it is about God or about someone else? Arguably, all songs of Emery's can be interpretted different ways. It's obviously not direct because if it was you wouldn't be having this arguement, lets just accept each others opinions, understand that each person will have different thoughts on the song, and move on. . . . ***************************************** I personally think this song is about someone close to them, not God, altough I do agree that the lyrics were inspired by him, they're not about him. Just an opinion, please don't kill me over it. haha |
Emery – In a Lose, Lose Situation Lyrics | 16 years ago |
wow Tomahawk, I do doubt if they did mean it that way, but I think its really cool to look at it that way, I get the most meaning out of it. I like it. Very creative. |
Chiodos – The Lover and the Liar Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I just have to say I LOVE the piano part in this song, its so great. =D. I just wish they would've put it in 'All's Well That Ends Well' because now I have to do extra work just to get arguably their best song. |
Emery – The Party Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I agree with you on most of what you have said underoath, though I believe in the lines: You should be ashamed, (Don't sit there judging me.) What a waste, (You'd be the same if you could see.) So lets have another drink. The words in paranthesese (sorry about the spelling XD) are meant to be the girl's response to his words, not what he actually thinks. |
Emery – Story About A Man With A Bad Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The second chorus should say: "Suddenly everything shakes, as my protection brakes." |
Emery – After The Devil Beats His Wife Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is a tricky one. I feel as if them drowning has to mean something, but Im not sure if it drowning in the river means drowning in sins, because at the end it says "River, wash me clean." so maybe wash me clean means wash me clean of my sins. but if thats the case then him drowning in the river couldn't mean that he was drowning in his sins. confusing song, but very good. |
Emery – World Away Lyrics | 16 years ago |
To me, its about choosing a side, Do you believe in God, or not? "It's A gamble either way." its a gamble between God existing or not because we don't know if he does exist, and we don't know if he doesn't. When hes talking about World Away, I think he means Heaven. It also seems his girlfriend, or this other person does not want to choose a side, and so he is saying that he will be going to heaven and she won't be there with him. "It's just a world away from here and I will never bother you no more, and that's for sure." Thats my opinion. |
Emery – Under Serious Attack Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Heh, while Donnie Darko probably doesn't have anything to do with this like you said mtf, I can see how it reminds you of it. But yes, its definantly about how he fails to remain chaste. I like the lyrics so much better in this song than "So Cold I Could See My Breath", which is also about failing to say chaste, just because at the end he writes about how hes going to stop this no matter what. "But I will fight you and victory will be mine in the end circumstances mean nothing. When it's over we will be heroes, constantly pushing forward without any fear." |
