Obviously this song is about getting even with someone. A wrong was done, most likely a humiliation, and the person needs to stay zen and get a grip. Since "there's nothing worse they can do," the only thing to do is get even with them. It's interesting the way this is put. I mean, revenge is so much sweeter when the exacter is keeping his cool, am I right? |

A lot of people say the world is getting worse, but those who say that haven't looked closely at history. Things aren't getting worse. There have been world wars, killings, and everything plus more that is happening today. This song talks about those who say a hero can save everyone. The problem with that is everyone is waiting for the hero to arrive when it's one of them who has to step up and take the first steps toward saving everyone. To sit and wait won't do; there has to be action. This is not a song about romance, it's about everyone and everything. Never has anyone come up with a solution for the world in our history, perhaps because everyone sits and waits for it to be fixed, for it to go away. It won't go away unless everyone else's life matters as much as our own. I don't think that's possible. I'm not being negative, I'm just judging from what I've seen. This is the kind of thing I'd like to be wrong about. It's like the song says about the love not being a hero's love and maybe won't do. To save the earth, there must be consensus and knowledgeable, willing, conscious effort by everyone. |

He's saying that he's not as good as he should be, but someone (girlfriend, friend, someone) is still with him and he can't believe it. He also sounds like he's a couple cards short of a deck, if you catch my drift. |
