and I don't think it's correct, but I still like to convince myself the lyrics is : "Hoping for the lashing to arrive, I've been blessed with a kingdom half mine." I sort of think of divorce and the awarding of alimony as both "lashing" and "kingdom half mine" ;) |

I'm hearing: "Waiting for the lashing to arrive, I've been blessed with a kingdom half mine." possibly a reference to a messy divorce. Lashing = divorce. Kingdom half mine = entitlement to half the other's things because of marriage? |
