Well Sonny Moore was/is bulimic. I didn't know that until awhile after I heard this song. But the first thing that ran across my mind was an eating disorder, because of the whole "Let's starve down to the bone, we're looking better boney Who needs figure anyway?" and "No food for weeks I've never felt better We look better famished girl" Those just seem like an eating disorder to me. The "I'm on the verge of self destruction" Just think about it "self destruction" starving yourself isn't very healthy. And is basically self destruction. And he's on "the verge" possibly another down, where he begins with the excessiveness of the eating disorder, where he feels the need to purge again. "Suffering because of my selfish vices" Selfish vices, such as striving to be thin. Not thin for anyone else but yourself. meaning "selfish" He keeps trying to run from his problem[s] but can't get away from them. thus "I can't stop running away" "oh, poor me. oh, poor you" Basically speeks for itself. and some of his other songs fit with his eating disorder. Such as "waltz moore"s lyrics "I can't eat anything, without shoving my hands down my throat" |
