I found it really interesting how she put in Houdini and well... a genie, Jiminy Crickets and Santa Claus. Really brings to heart why people ultimately choose religion, and what contrasts of ideas people think of what god is suppose to do (sorry if that didn't make a whole lot of sense there). I was going to say, it's not the question of god... You can argue that there is a reason why she left god out of the title of the song, "Laughing With..." And after reading that comment supposedly stating that Spektor said she hates those that really jam down their opinions to others... kinda puts into perspective. |
