| Passenger – All the Little Lights Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song suggests a rather endearing notion that our hearts are filled with little lights which, as life goes by and things change, go out one by one. | |

| Another song written by Stevie Nicks about her relationship with Lindsey | |
| Fleetwood Mac – Throw Down Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song was written by Stevie Nicks during Fleetwood Mac's "The Dance" tour in 1997. Stevie and Lindsey had put their differences to one side and began to get along and talk about their love for each other and their past. Stevie came up with this song after the tour and reflects on how well they got on, and on what could have been.....great song as always from The Mac. | |
| Fleetwood Mac – Silver Springs Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
As said before, this song is Stevie Nicks talking to Lindsey Buckingham about their break up. She is basically telling him, no matter where he goes, or what he does, her voice will always be there reminding him of their love for each other. He can never get away from her. Its well documented that although Stevie finished their relationship, she and him have a chemistry between them that will never die. They cannot talk about their feelings for each other in real life because its too painful, so they speak to each other through their songs. You only have to watch the version of this song on You Tube recorded for thier dvd The Dance 1997 to see just what this song means to Stevie. She sings it straight to Lindsey with raw passion and emotion. |

| Suzanne Vega – Marlene On The Wall Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Suzanne Vega once had a poster of the great Marlene Dietrich on her wall. This song is sung from the point of view of Marlene Dietrich looking down at Suzanne Vega living her life. There is obviously a forbidden relationship taking place and the song switches from Suzannes point of view of things and then to how Marlene Dietrich would view it. "Marlene watches from the wall, her mocking smile says it all......" "Don't give away the goods too soon is what she might have told me....." Very clever and very toughing actually. |

| The Libertines – Can't Stand Me Now Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Love this song. A true rock song with true thoughts and emotion behind the lyrics. One of my favourite songs of all time. Seriously. Its meaning doesn't need any explaination really does it? The ominous split of the Libertines came shortly after this song. So, say no more. |

| The Twang – Wide Awake Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I take on board your thoughts about this song being about a come down, and it does seem to fit quite well, however, my thoughts, personnally are slightly different. I think this song is about Self Harm and Depression, and the feelings of guilt after you have done it. It talks about not wanting to face the world, feeling so alone, and "time for the filth." The line "I tell myself I won't do it again, but I know I will be lying in my bed my thoughts racing..." are a big hint. If you read down the whole lyric, you can relate most of the lines to selfharm/anxiety/depression/paranoia. Just my thoughts.. x x |
