Most of the time I got nothing to say
When I do it's nothing and nobody's there to listen anyway
I know I'm probably better off this way
I just listen to the voices on the TV 'til I'm tired
My eyes grow heavy and I fade away
That is an amazing verse! |

What a great tune, and this is a killer verse....
Most of the time I got nothing to say
When I do it's nothing and nobody's there to listen anyway
I know I'm probably better off this way
I just listen to the voices on the TV 'til I'm tired
My eyes grow heavy and I fade away

surprised im the first to post on this song. It is an amazing cover of an Alice in Chains song. off follow the lights LP. Another excellent cover in which Ryan Adams totally makes another artist's tune his own, much like wonder wall. |

Anyone else think that voice at the end sounds liek its off an answering machine? I know ryan adams has had trouble with drugs....and "i miss my best fried" sounds liek something you would say to a friend who is getting lost to drugs. Maybe a friend of his was worried about his addictions. i dont know maybe way off, but it kinda makes sense |

A great song when they do it live, based on teh albums i never would have figured ryan and the cardinals to be such a great jam band.....must be that grateful dead influence! AMAZING! |

Great song, i think the studio version with Norah Jones is not nearly as strong as the live versions of just Ryan and the Cardinals. When you get just his voice a great extended jam from the cardinals it is much more powerful. |
