from a business perspective perhaps it is about the record industry, simply. But giving some faith to the band tool Its probably more or less about the leaches of the governement. "leechism" is what is all about now adays. tool the band, the indivduals, all the times I've seen them have mocked their own audience. They are businessmen themselves. They pay a shit load of taxes. I'm sure they are great idealists and all... but they haven't really taken up arms against anything. hell.. maynard owns a vineyard.. whats more yuppie than that? I will say this though. they've leeched the shit out of me for coming to see their performances. I gladly pay the ammount though. Its a symbiotic relationship. what I wish is they'd stop making shitty albums like lateralus and 10,000 days and go back to the angry shit they used to make. I guess its hard to be angry when you are drunk off your own wine though. |

I always figured this song was about california. In particular hollywood. When I say hollywood I mean All that hollywood is and stands for. Hollywood= will do anything for a buck, and the bullshit that mentality produces. Who knows? thats my take on it. I have some proof. And I ride down the highway 101 (U.S. Highway 101 also known as the pacific coast highway or PCH) By the side of the ocean headed for sunset. (literally an ocean sunset? Probably Sunset boulevard. Approximately 22 miles (35 km) in length, the famous boulevard passes through or near Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Bel-Air, Brentwood, and Pacific Palisades)* perhaps the most diverse 22miles in california.
