| I agree with Franny~ not so much about being in love but about getting to know... NEEDING to know yourself... FINDING that lost person you once knew you were... Whether it be drugs, alcohol or whatever addiction that grips you, are you strong enough to LIVE without it? Strong enough to stand on your own two feet, look into that mirror and embrace yourself for who you really are? It seems to be about her struggle with this and her lack of confidence... As far as her having sex with herself in the video? I think that it represents the good v. evil / the power over powerless so to speak... sobriety v. alcohol. It's winning. Her inner demons have won ~ she's attracted to it almost sexually and needs it... wants it, can taste it... has to have it... and does. As any addict of any addiction would know. These lyrics are coming straight from the soul. If you can't feel it... you must be dead inside... The lyrics hint that it could be harmful to her but doesn't doesn't actually say it IS. The point is that regardless of the outcome, she's completely willing to surrender her entire self to this person and willing to be broken if necessary... Sad...
