Wow, I was really not expecting this song. I think it's one of the best on American Capitalist. It's definitely got that power-ballad feel while still keeping that nice heavy guitar in the back, just hardly noticeable. |

When I heard Asking Alexandria's "Stand Up and Scream" CD, I fell in love. And when I heard they were releasing a new CD like two years later, I thought that it was going to suck. My reasoning behind that was because I thought they couldn't really improve on their sound any. I thought Stand Up and Scream was as good as it could get with them, and since bands usually try to improve their sound and constantly update, I thought they would mess it up and it would suck. And if you keep the same sound, it's usually no good as well. Look at Disturbed for example.
HOWEVER
Asking Alexandria really pulled it off with this CD. I am in love with this band all over again, and they didn't really change that much in their sound. They still have the same feel in their lyrics, the same electronic parts, the same guitar sounds that I love. And this song is my favorite from Reckless and Relentless. I'm actually fairly surprised it doesn't have any comments yet. |

I really like this song.
It really struck a chord with me because this girl I was really in love with told me her mom didn't like me, so she had to break up with me, and that she would date some other guys because her mom wanted her to, and then she would come back to me. But now she's still leading me on like crazy, but this guy she's been dating for a while is asking her to marry him, and she's giving no signs of breaking up with him, and it's putting me through a lot of stress.
The part of the song when it's like "If only I could be strong enough to see that it's over, I wish I never loved you, 'cause you were supposed to be coming back to me, where are you now?" really summed up that whole situation. |

I heard this song and immediately thought of the internet meme and, just recently TV show, Old Greg from The Mighty Boosh. I can't help but laugh everytime I hear it because I just imagine a big scaly man-fish with a mangina singing it in a tutu. |

This song is NOT a "blatant ripoff" of "Animals" by Nickelback.
A "blatant ripoff" would be more like what Hollywood Undead's song "Undead" did to Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train".
And, I think this song is pretty awesome. I saw Saliva in concert back in May and although they didn't perform this song, it was still an amazing show.
I believe this song is, in simple terms, just about how this guy feels like he doesn't belong. |
