I think el cake had it the closest imo. To me he is talking about someone who never loved anyone or themselves, and chose to give up and accept that as their fate, then taking it upon themselves to bear the weight of others over themselves, never accepting themselves and being to ashamed to come to that realization. Yet everyone around yourself tried to prove to you that you are not this, (We all want you to see the you we see) but instead of realizing it you just ignored them and continued bearing the "weight"; instead of admitting that you where sad or alone, just wanting someone to love you in a way. And finally letting it all go, realizing you don't have to "save" everyone to let go. This hits me hard, I used to be a lot like this. Wish I found this song sooner ;) |
