| Metro Station – Wish We Were Older Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Just trust in me I'll never run away (reassuring her that if she has sex with him he won't leave her so she doesn't have to be scared..) I know you're dying To take off your clothes (she really wants to have sex with him, but she's scared that she's too young.) You kiss my lips And you taste like pain And while I'm pushing it, I'm moving Somehow you manage to say... I wish we were older (they have sex, she thinks she's too young.) Just take my hand I'll never let go (once again, reassuring her.) |

I actually know exactly what this song means. Apparently, one of the members of the band had a significant other, and he had a dream that she died. And he was almost drowning in his sleep because it was such a terrible dream. The next morning, when he woke up, of course he was mortified, and so when he saw her, he was so incredibly happy that it was just a dream. He asked her to kiss him one last time before she went to work, and then she left. so that's where the "drowning in my sleep" and "kiss me one last time" come from. then, later that day she got in a car crash and died, so he felt terrible, and the verses and stuff are just about things that occurred that day or things that happened after her death. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE TRUE STORY. |
