this probably dosent make sense to me it sounds like a guy has carved an idol of a girl "it was score 22 days ago since i carved you out of the finest pine" because she is dying and she dosent want to have an idol carved of her but he reasons and says "What would you rather be? (x3) Hated and remembered? or just forgotten? " and as she dies she finaly accepts that he is going to carve an idol of her and gives it her blessing by saying "When her last breath echoes "you complete me" but obviously that sounds like utter stupidness (mind you it is enter shikari) i think we need to look more to the meaning of the name "score 22"?? and i think that definatley the song is metaphorical carving an idol of her could just mean that he puts her on a pedestal Adieu_X |

This song is a really clear song "a blank sheet of paper begging to be filled" someone wants to write a letter desperatley "But tonight I cannot pour my heart out because you escaped with it in your back pocket" They cannot pour there heart out on a letter as there is nothin left of it, now there (possibly lover) has left them here are some other possiblities - due to the silence now that there lover has left "tonight, yes my ears are in pain" ...the persons ears are in pain as they have tried things like "Television remote controls cannot save me " turning up the tv to console themselves and the silence and possibly "Under these scented quilts The absence of your lower case screams Punching out your fragile pleas " means the bed is still scented with the person who has left... the one in the room has heard the person who has left, 'plead' argue and say they are leaving... but the scent of them overrides this and makes them wants them to come back so they say "Come now and leave with me This place is almost empty" which the place is what do you think im 16 lol |
