Interesting born-2-lose. That's the only part I wasn't getting. "Yes our wish that we never made it." =They wish they one of them or both never made it. I think "through all the summers" belongs to the next sentence though... "Through all the summers we kept em up instead of kicking us back down to the suburbs" And it basically tells the same message. |

I think this song tells a story of two friends or lovers the moments before they commit suicide. They accelerate a car towards a weir. "Press your foot down" "Pass along the weir" Their plan seem to be to drown themselves. "The goal is to get there without fear in high speed" ("get there" probably refers to afterlife) "And we wont grow old, corpse look fine when cold" (it's cold under the water) The unclear thing here is their motivation. They seem to be in a hurry to kill themselves. "I can hardly wait. Hope we wont be late" |

| This is a great song, I think the first post by stringofpearls is spot on. Sometimes I use this way of thinking to forget about things. Like when I'm upset because of something I look up to the sky, thinking that I'm looking down on me as a little tiny spot in a damn big universe. Whatever happend doesn't matter very much in comparance. It's dust in the wind. | |
