| The Showdown – We Die Young Lyrics | 17 years ago |

These lyrics are a little wrong, they should be: Move in circles and unwind Feel the rhythm and the lines Are you satisfied Feel the need and just collide Swear your best intent and ride to the edge of night And run, live so fast you come undone Cause we die young Bright as stars we fade as one So run Talk in circles and entwine Tell your breath carry your mind Are you satisfied Do you feel alive Tired tounge and aching chest What it takes outdoes your best Death redraws the line Do you feel alive Or run, live so fast you come undone Cause we die young Bright as stars we fade as one You'll always run Live so fast you come undone And we die young Bright as stars we fade as one [Repeat chorus] That's from the song booklet |

This song has some rad guitaring! Whilst there does seem to be some mention of religion "To prove whose God wields all the power", I think it is mostly about society being falsely led to believe what governments want them to. Just my two cents (dbro46) - you can blame Jesus all you want for wars but his word instructed peace and love towards one another. Horrible things were done by "christians" during the crusades but this in reaction to (if I remember correctly) losing land to Muslim invaders (the crusades did not even manage to reclaim this back) and caused by religious leaders abusing their political power and telling soldiers that they would be forgiven of all sin if they fought. Sure, religion can give reason to go to war for some, but so can food, freedom and human equality. You don't really hear people bitching about these though do you? |

| Sounds like it has something to do with doing what you want and not conforming to the way others live. | |

Hey Chedder009, songs can mean different things to different people, if XxXLizzieXxX finds symbolism in a song which she takes as Christian themes thats ok. Calling her ignorant makes you sound narrow-minded, Chedder... Anyway, clearly the song "The Reason" shows that atleast the band respects Christianity and it is also clear that they are not shoving their beliefs (whatever they may be) down anybody's throat so surely these guys can appeal to both Christians and non-Christians. I think the meaning of this song has been summed up rather well. Great song. The whole album is great |

| Also, does the beggining of this song sound like the biggining of 'understanding in a car crash' by Thursday? | |

Perhaps it has something to do with the band's decision to try a new approach to this record... I think for them it was a big decision |
