This describes my friend perfectly. And I'd like to think I'm the girl that liked him for a minute or two. It's someone who is so manipulative, and acts like he doesn't need anyone but really he relies on his friends and their concern to get by. I have a theory with "like old job"...I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, since I didn't read every comment. But in the Bible, Job had all sorts of horrible stuff happen to him by Satan, and he never freaked out at God, instead, he just kinda dealed with it I guess. So I always thought, when he was gonna keep his cool, like Job, he was gonna try not to flip out as the world was crashing down and he was feeling trapped. But at the end I think, he can't be like Job, and thinks that God has abandoned him and he can't pretend it's ok ("can you make it, for just one more show"). And thinks Jesus was God's only son, and he isn't. Of course...I don't know how into biblical references and such Billy Corgin is, so I could be off. That's what it means to me, personally, though. |
