Jesus Christ. I introduce to you the best song EVER by the N°1 of my favourites bands. I love so much The Rasmus (L) and this song really touched me a lot. I feel...identified. Yeah, that's the word. It has been realised with "In My Life" Single, it's hidden. It's about another of Lauri's apologies as many of us can see...but this one is special, because it's relationated with death. His death. "I know I hurted you a lot, and I made you feel so much pain, but I'm really sorry about it, and I want you to know that. I know I deserve everything because I hurted you. But please, forgive me" Something like that maybe? Keep rocking with The Rasmus. They're my everything. And pay atention, this week they'll record their new album, and it'll be realised on the next year. Cheers! |

| Fall Out Boy – I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me and You) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Ok, I gotta say that I have just signed up in here only for comment this xD. This is my interpretation: let's guess that it's based on a Pete's past relationship (it's ok, I know pretty well that Pete's the one who writes the songs, but maybe he wrote this one thinking about someone else's story) Let's start with this part: "Two outta three ain't bad, ain't bad" It all turns around this line, at least for me. The guy has a girlfriend. They love each other a lot, and she got pregnant, but for some reason, she has lost the kid. That's the reason it all starts like: "Last year's wishes are this year's apologies" Because of this, the girl blames herself and breaks up with him, saying that he deserves someone better than her. He tries to save their relation, but she misundertood his words: "I only keep myself this sick in the head cause I know how the words get to you" And now, everything's going down... "We’re the new face of failure" Then, he compares theirself with adult's relationships "Prettier and younger but not any better off" Now I hear "Bulletproof *FOR* loneliness" (she dumps him and he doesn't really want to be on his own) Though, maybe it's really "Bulletproof and loneliness" (I realized that I thought it was *for* instead of *and* because of the last F on the first word) In this last case, I propose the same. Then comes the chorus: "Me and you Setting in a honeymoon If I woke up next to you, If I woke up next to you" And so on. In here he imagines his life with her, after they get marry, of course, becuase, after all these were their plans: to get marry and form a family, but thanks to the baby lost it couldn't be done. "Collect the bad habits That you couldn’t bear to keep Out of the woods but I love The tree I used to lay beneath is tea stained red From sour bottled baby girl with eyes the size of baby worlds" Now I need to thank you people. I never thought of this if it wasn't for you. I read all the comments to see if anyone thought the same as I did and thanks to that I could keep my theory: She couldn't really accept the lost, and she's pretty sad about it, so she gets her adiction back: the alcohol. Perhaps is really *TEETH* instead of *TEA* and like anyone said before, it explains she drinks red wine or something similar. He really loves her, he loves and enjoys kissing her, but now it's not the same. "with eyes the size of baby worlds" this one is difficult. You can say she's got big eyes, someone said that too. But you can also say that when she gets bad and she drinks too much, she gets drunk, so all that she sees are with baby's eyes. (People act really bad when they're not sober) The chorus comes once again, explaining how beautiful would be that perfect life that they never had... "The best way to make it through with hearts and wrists intact Is to realize Two outta three ain’t bad, ain’t bad" This says all. The best way to make it through is to be together, no need to break up, to overcome the lost and not to kill theirself, either their relationship and realize that after all they will be together, no matter what. Something like: "Ok love, we have already lost a child, but this is not the end. It's a new beggining, we can start all over again, get marry, go to a honeymoon and be happy. We need get over this, we're not perfect, everyone makes mistakes, we should be stronger now. Why to leave it all behind and give up?" Wow. I was inspired. Thanks for the space people. Have a nice day ;D |
