I love this song a lot, and Aly & AJ are my guilty pleasure, but I definitely wish this was the great angry song it could be. If there was no "make up song" part at the end, and a few swear words were carefully placed, it could be so much more AWESOME. That being said, I love this song to no end. Sooo super infectious.

i LOVE this song. it's just so genius lyrically. the first time i listened to it, i was like "okay, okay, this is good." and then i heard the last line. hooked forever. i think this is my favorite song off this cd, second only to coin operated boy, because you really can't top that song.

i love the images this song makes. like every time i hear the lines "some other fool across the ocean years ago/must have crashed his little airplane" i think of amelia earhart. i know it says his, but that's just the picture my mind conjures for me.

i think this song and the album it's on, "tapestry", really speaks to carole king's immense talent as a musician. the first time i heard it, i thought "well duh, snow is cold and rain is wet." and then i listened to it again and the matter-of-fact way she says it makes the rest of the song seem like that. like it's indisputable that she really won't be happy until she sees that one person.

This song really speaks to personally because it reminds me of one of my good friends. Like coinxoperatedxgirl said, I think it's about the loss of something; for me, one of my best friends. No matter how much I wish it could go back to the way it used to be, I have to accept that it won't because we've drifted apart. And yet if she ever needed anything, I'd always be there for her.
