Anyone who thinks this is about abortion...well...I'm a little embrarrassed FOR you. First of all, Eddie Vedder mentioned it during unplugged because he feels strongly about pro-choice and the song a very moving song. It's a good opportunity to have an influence on people in that state of being emotionally moved to sway them....but there's no farkin way in heck this is about abortion. It's clearly about some guy who's life and artistic creativity is suffering because his thoughts are consumed by a lost love. Granted art is open to a little subjective interpritation....but it means something singularly definitive to the one who created it...and it wouldn't make sense for him to write a sad love song to a slimey fetus...i mean what the hell....that's just silly. |
