| A Fine Frenzy – Almost Lover Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Before I get into my interpretation of this song, let me say how much I love this one. The lyrics are so beautiful. So is her voice. I can relate to this song so much, actually. But my interpretation is that the one person she loved and that meant the world to her walked out of her life, and that simple things remind her of the relationship they had. And it pains her to remember them, which then makes her think of the actual person. |

| Nine Inch Nails – I'm Looking Forward to Joining You, Finally Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Trent wrote this song in memory of his grandmother who died around the time he wrote this. To me, it seems that he's reminiscing at certain times. Such as: The smell of sunshine, I remember sometimes And at the end, he just gives up. He can no longer remain strong about the situation. He'd do anything just to see her again. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Leaving Hope Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Trent was at "the bottom" when this song was written. He was dealing with his drug and alcohol addiction during that time. So basically, he didn't have any hope left after awhile. The song reflects that concept as well. It starts out, seemingly hopefully, only to dwindle down to nothing. | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Starfuckers, Inc. Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Basically, it's about how vain most of the people in Hollywood are. Or the ones who want to become famous. They'll do anything to get just that. | |

To me, I always felt that he used sex as a way to squelch his feelings of worthlessness. The whole second verse reflects that: You can have my isolation, you can have the hate that it brings You can have my absence of faith, you can have my everything Help me tear down my reason, help me it’s your sex I can smell Help me you make me perfect, help me become somebody else |

| Marilyn Manson – The Speed Of Pain Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I don't know, but I get the impression that he doesn't want to face the truth and feel the pain of a situation. That he isn't ready for it. | |
| Marilyn Manson – mOBSCENE Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I agree with you, clear9. That's my thoughts exactly, really. | |
| Marilyn Manson – Great Big White World Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Technically, this song is supposedly about cocaine. But to me, I feel it's about how everything seems to be lacking uniqueness now. Everything and everyone seems to look the same. There's no life to them; no color. | |
