song on meditation as i understand it. you cannot control anything outside of yourself. all you can control is the self. to change the world outside youself, you must change your inner world first. the difficult part of meditaion is the clearing of your mind. everyday thoughts keep popping in. when you are finally able clear your mind, the universe opens up for you. john may have been tring to express this. |

i read an article many moons ago that stated paul and the band had a female friend who really liked the sound of "ma belle", and asked on several occasions that they write a song using those words. eventually, they included them in a song just for her and to maybe, finally be done with the request. |
